A reverse circulation (RC) drill rig is a specialized drilling equipment widely used in geotechnical engineering, mineral exploration, and foundation construction. Unlike conventional drilling methods, it employs a dual-wall drill pipe system. The drilling fluid (usually air or water) is pumped down the annular space between the inner and outer pipes. The cuttings (drilled material) are then forced upward through the inner pipe by high-pressure airflow or fluid, creating a continuous "reverse circulation" flow.
